The art of brilliance and fire 

Moissanite and diamond differ primarily in brilliance and fire. Brilliance refers to the white light flashes reflecting from within the stone, while fire is the dispersion of light into a rainbow of colors as it passes through. Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond, causing it to bend light more and produce brighter flashes, rainbow-like colours. Diamonds, on the other hand, show a subtler light pattern with more white, blue, and grey hues.

A colourless moissanite and diamond have only a subtle color difference, with moissanite occasionally revealing faint grey or yellow tones in certain light. However, this distinction is barely noticeable unless you compare the two side by side. 

Clarity

When it comes to clarity, moissanite typically has fewer imperfections, with most graded VVS1-2, making it sparkle brilliantly. Diamonds with similar clarity are much rarer and far more expensive, with moissanite being a more affordable option for a similar size and appearance.
