How to Care
Sweat and water, no thank you. Before exercising or showering, remove your jewellery. Clean your piece by buffing gently with a dry cloth and store it in your pouch.
MEZI only uses the highest quality materials and we take great care and pride making each piece. Our jewellery is hand made and we use a wide range of metal components such as sterling silver 925, brass, stainless steel, gold filled, titanium and we plate with gold, rose gold and rhodium finishes. All earring hooks and posts are hypoallergenic surgical steel and nickel free.
Avoid wearing your MEZI Jewellery in mineral baths, spas and swimming pools, as the salt water and chlorine may affect the metal finish. Remove your jewellery before exercising or prior to bedtime. Excessive perspiration and body oils can sometimes surface tarnish the piece. Before you put any jewellery on, be sure any lotions, perfumes and make up are absorbed into your skin. Apply all hair products, especially hair spray, before you put on the jewellery.
Our jewellery is tarnish free with proper care. We discourage against excessive exposure to moisture, some types of chlorine and other chemicals can discolor even solid gold. Be aware that the gold and rose gold plated pieces will eventually lose its colour overtime.
Your MEZI pieces should be wiped with a soft cloth to remove any pollutants such as skin and perspiration. Prior to storing, make sure your jewellery is dry, as moisture speeds the tarnishing process so it’s important to make sure your MEZI pieces are dry before putting it away. Ideally, store your jewellery in a soft lined box or pouch. Try to keep pieces apart, so that they so don’t rub together or tangle up.
“Following these easy steps will ensure longevity and love to each of your MEZI designs!” - Mezi
MEZI has 6 months warranty on all jewellery pieces applicable from date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing faults; it does not cover neglect or wear & tear. We will at our discretion repair, replace your damaged product.

Gold Vermeil/2-Micron gold
Not to be confused with regular gold plating, Vermeil is a much thicker layer of gold which gives the pieces their long-lasting colour. We use 18k gold/14k gold layered on sterling silver which also can be referred to as 2-micron plating. 2-micron gold is referred to heavy gold plating. Long lasting plating, the quality is exceptional.
Gold filled is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal. Gold-filled is much more valuable, and tarnish resistant. Jewellery for a lifetime!
Gold plated jewellery is made by using electricity or chemicals to deposit and bond a thin layer of gold over another metal. It requires extra care.
With proper care your 925-sterling silver will last a lifetime. To minimise scratches and other damage, store your silver jewellery either in a cloth pouch or in a separate compartment in your jewellery box.
Ideal for piercings, surgical stainless steel is known for its safety in medical procedures. Made to resist rust and discoloration, should last a long time, and only require occasional wiping or cleaning.
Rhodium is a metal that is in the family of platinum and it's highly reflective and resistant to corrosion. Rhodium plating gives a reflective silver-white appearance.
